Dear Members,
We are excited that Nashville will be hosting American Bus Association (ABA) in January for their annual Marketplace, which will bring approximately 3,000 motorcoach, travel and tourism industry professionals to Music City. This meeting is a unique opportunity for Music City – and you, as valued NCVC members – to showcase our city’s great value, attractions, and accessibility to key decision makers in the motorcoach group travel industry.
We are asking for your help to make this event a success.
We need approximately 150 ambassadors to fill more than 200 4 to 5-hour work shifts throughout the duration of the conference, which will take place from January 12-17, 2024. These ambassadors will help us host an opening night event, staff hotel welcome desks, offer support during airport arrivals, and serve as transportation greeters for shuttles and tours.
Each ambassador who works a minimum of eight hours (typically two 4-hour shifts) will receive benefits:
- Columbia Vest – These vests will serve as ambassador uniforms, comfortable whether one is working indoor or outdoor
- Opening Night Reception Ticket – Hosted at Assembly Food Hall located at 5th & Broadway and the Ryman Auditorium, to include entertainment soon to be announced
- Raffle Entry – For every shift worked, along with your attendance at the Volunteer Orientation meeting, your name will be entered into a drawing for a Nashville Staycation Package
You can register as ambassadors online and view the list of ambassador shifts available for sign up HERE.
We thank you in advance for your help in making the ABA Marketplace a success. The thousands of motorcoach, group tour and travel industry professionals will gather to conduct millions of dollars worth of business and select destinations for their own group’s tours. With all of us working together, we know we can send them home with Nashville at the top of their list. This will be the seventh time that Nashville has hosted this meeting and a Marketplace event typically generates up to $2.5 million in the economy and increases overall motorcoach group business by 10% or more. That is significant economic activity for our industry and city.
Please contact our NCVC Volunteer team if you have any questions or need additional information: Leslie Davis at leslie@visitmusiccity.com or 615-259-4782 or Erin Foglia at erin@visitmusiccity.com or 615-259-4786.
Again, we thank you for being part of the NCVC and your support of ABA.
Sincerely,
Deana Ivey President & CEO Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp
